Seminar: Towards sustainable aviation: shaping national climate policy in an EU context

Wednesday 15th of May 2024, 10h to 13h
Brussels
Naomi Cambien

How will we make aviation sustainable? Which actions should member states take, in addition to the recent EU fit-for-55 legislation? As a prime example, The Netherlands is working on the design and implementation of a CO2 cap to legally secure the agreed national climate targets for the sector. What can we learn from this process, and how does the European Commission welcome such initiatives?
